How to get visa after acceptance?

If your application for study is successful, you will be sent a letter offering you place at the University and detailing the first fee payment due. When you return your acceptance of the offer and make that first payment to the University, an electronic Confirmation of Enrollment (eCEO) is sent to the Australian diplomatic mission (embassy, consulate etc) you have nominated in your application form. A paper copy of this electronic Confirmation of Enrollment is sent to you. You then submit your copy of the eCEO to the nominated diplomatic mission when you apply for a student visa.

How to Apply for a Scholarship

There is a misconception out there about applying for scholarships for College. The misconception is that if you don’t have a 4.0 grade point average you won’t win the scholarship. There are many different types of scholarships but the best thing to do is apply for all of the scholarships but the key is to fill out the applications correctly. Incomplete applications are one reason why students do not win certain scholarships. Here are some tips to help ensure that you have a good chance of getting these scholarships. Keep in mind that scholarships are like grants and do not need to be paid back.

The first thing you want to do is start to gather your information on what scholarships you will be applying for sooner rather than later. The idea is that you don’t rush into filling out these applications; this is where mistakes are often made. Don’t forget you still have to request the scholarship application and receive it and then apply. Once you have all of this information you will want to read all of the eligibility requirements, not all scholarships have the same requirements needed to apply so read them very carefully.

When you fill out the applications for these scholarships, chances are that you will need the same information such as name, date of birth, school you will be attending and your parents’ financial information. Keep these important pieces of information in a folder and as you fill out each application you will have all of the necessary information at your fingertips. Try to keep a folder that contains your High School Transcripts, SAT scores, essays, and letters of recommendation and proof of eligibility. Don’t forget to receive any type of financial assistance you need to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Many students, when they don’t know the answer to some of the questions or they don't think that they apply to them, simply the line blank. If you don’t know what to write ask your parents if the question doesn’t apply to you just write does not apply or N/A for not applicable. Very important, make sure that you read all of the information that comes with the application. Some scholarships may affect other financial aid so if you have any questions call or contact the provider of the scholarship to make sure. You want to make sure that your application and essays are legible. If your script can be hard to decipher then print everything. It will make the process go a lot faster.

After the application, essays, letters of recommendation and paperwork is complete; make sure that you have copies. Keep a folder of the copies so you can check on the status after you have mailed out the applications, plus it helps from filling out the same application twice. The last tip and one of the most important one is to make sure that your application is on time. Check for deadlines and do what you can to get these applications in early and on time.
